La section Lab regroupe les expérimentations autour du dispositif photographique.

Parmi elles, la modification d’un agrandisseur argentique afin d’y intégrer l’écran d’un smartphone en lieu et place du négatif.
Le flux numérique devient source lumineuse ; l’image digitale traverse alors un processus chimique traditionnel pour se fixer sur papier argentique.

Ce travail interroge la frontière entre technologie contemporaine et geste photographique historique.
Il ne s’agit pas de reproduire l’ancien, mais de confronter deux temporalités : la rapidité de l’écran et la lenteur du révélateur.

Le laboratoire devient un espace de recherche où l’outil est transformé pour questionner la nature même de l’image.

Research and hybridisation

The Lab section brings together experimentations around the photographic device.

Among them, the modification of a film enlarger to integrate a smartphone screen in place of the negative. The digital stream becomes a light source; the digital image then passes through a traditional chemical process to fix itself onto silver paper.

This work questions the boundary between contemporary technology and historic photographic gesture. The aim is not to reproduce the old, but to confront two temporalities: the speed of the screen and the slowness of the developer.

The laboratory becomes a space for research where the tool is transformed to question the very nature of the image.
